Scope
This Supplemental Anthropic Interviewer Privacy Policy applies when you participate in Anthropic research studies, surveys, or interviews (for example, Anthropic Interviewer). It supplements, and should be read together with, the Anthropic Privacy Policy (the “Privacy Policy”). Where this Supplemental Privacy Policy addresses a matter, it applies in addition to the Privacy Policy for that matter.
Capitalized terms used but not defined here have the meanings given in the Privacy Policy.
Personal Data We Collect
Study Participation Data
If you participate in Anthropic research studies, surveys, or interviews, we collect:
the responses you provide;
any associated survey or study metadata;
associated account data; and
metadata about your participation (such as timestamps and session identifiers).
We refer to this collectively as “Study Participation Data”.
How We Use Study Participation Data
Study Participation Data may be used to conduct research and for product and model improvement. We may combine Study Participation Data with other data from your account for aggregated analysis. We may publish or otherwise make available aggregated, de-identified, or anonymized findings and responses from our research, including research into how our Services are used and AI safety research.
Study Participation Data may be disclosed to the categories of recipients set out in the Privacy Policy (see “How We Disclose Personal Data” / “Recipients”). In particular, to support open research, and to inform public understanding of these issues we may share Study Participation Data with select third parties such as external researchers or journalists.
